Boku No Hatsukoi wo Kimi Ni Sasagu (I give my first love to you) by Aoki Kotomi is a touching love story that had me crying like a baby one moment and laughing the next. This story hit a little close to home, being sickly myself, and had me hoping for the lead character (Takuma) to pull though. At times it can seem a little on the dark side too.

Summary:

However, the summer when Takuma was 8, he made a promise to Mayu that he couldn't keep... Their story unfolds as they grow older and their bond gets stronger...
I've heard this manga was made into a movie but its not an anime. I haven't seen it yet myself but if you have please let me know how it was compared to the movie.
