3 Hearts

3 Hearts by Ichinose Kaoru has an interesting story line that could have been taken farther. The ending was funny too ^^ This manga is a one shot and hard for me to give my opinion without giving away the plot, so read it!

As fate would have it, she has one of The Hearts. But is she really who she says she is? And will Jin Tonic let her live to fulfill her mission?

Chintsubu

Chintsubu by Yamato Nase was one of the weirdest mangas I think I read in a long time. It was original, I'll give Yamato Nase that. All in all it was cute, strange, and didn't make any sense but had me glued to its pages all the while.

Genre:  Comedy, Mature, Romance, School Life, Supernatural, Yaoi

Summary:

Toride has always loved his cute classmate, Ayase. Due to an accident, Toride's spirit went to Ayase's penis, a weird couple then was made ^^' They both have feelings for each others, but is it really a blissful thing for a relationship such as this? The accident not only changed Toride and Ayase's life, but also Iwabuchi- the emotionless, and Kamiya- the playboy? Unlike Toride and Ayase's situation, Iwabuchi and Kamiya have their penis switched, and their penis can talk?

Desire

Desire by Kazumi Maki and drawn by Honami Yukine was super cute ^^  Two awesomely drawn teens trying to figure each other out and no one against them being homosexual. I wish the real world was this open minded actually TT~TT  Sure they had their problems but it was only because they kept secrets from one another.

Anyhow (let me stop babbling...), this was an awesome read right before bed. An easy going story with a few necessary dumps to keep the plot going. I can't wait to read more from Kazumi ^^

Genre: Romance, School Life, Shounen Ai, Yaoi

 Summary:

Toru is a shy and quiet student who has developed a special crush on his close friend Ryoji, the most popular member of the high school swim team. In front of Ryoji, Toru hides his feelings and acts as if he is just one of Ryoji's good friends, but in a moment out of the blue his world will be turned upside down as Ryoji will confess a secret desire for Toru. As time passes, Toru's happiness begins to fade knowing that his affair with Ryoji was just a fling based out of Ryoji's sexual curiosity.

The two set off to devise a plan to test Ryoji's true intentions by faking a romantic relationship. Soon after, a frustrated and jealous Ryoji attempts to pry Toru out of the arms of Kashiwazaki. Is it just as they planned? Yeah! That is of course until Toru realizes Kashiwazaki wasn't really faking! How could he not have seen it coming?

Hanamai Koeda de Aimashou

Hanamai Koeda de Aimashou by Kazumi Maki and drawn by Kano Ayumi was so cute and sweet. I somewhat knew what would happen but it was still a good read :) The drawing style was adorable as well. It was nice as well to get away from girls with big breast trying to be a man in the gender-bending world lol.

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Gender Bender, Shounen Ai

Summary

Ever since he was young, Mizuki's mother raised him up as a girl and forbade him from being close to other kids. Always dressed-up in a female kimono, this youngster is actually a successor to a wealthy clan. His mother hid his existence from Mizuki’s own father to prevent him from being caught in the crossfire of succession.

Appearing on behalf of Mizuki’s maternal father, young lawyer, Hatano tries to convince Mitsuki, who he first thought of as a girl to meet ‘her’ long lost father. This homosexual lawyer has some devious plan to use the female Mizuki to gain success for his own good. What’s worse is that Hatano is a frequent customer in Hanamai Koeda, the restaurant which Mitsuki is working as his boy-self. Oh boy, Mizuki better watch out or his cover will be blown!

Love Pistols

Love Pistols (Sex Pistols) by Kotobuki Tarako was definitely unique, I'll give it that. I loved this manga; full of romance, drama, and comedy - it was the perfect escape from the real world. My only problem was after a while I felt like we lost the main characters and everyone was having a baby. But putting that aside, its been a while since I read it so I'm going to reread it now :)

I loved the drawing style so much too, it was cute yet Kotobuki made sure the semes and ukes were told apart.

I also just found out there is a OVA of this manga as well that can be seen on youtube (but all the good parts are cut, FYI).

Genre(s): Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Shounen Ai, Supernatural, Yaoi

Summary:

Certain people have evolved from animals other than monkeys, and they can sense each other’s animal souls! Filled with love, romance, and even male pregnancy (?!?!), this boys’ love series is too crazy to be believed...which is why you’ll keep coming back for more!

Dragonaut the resonance

Manga
Anime

Dragonaut the resonance by Kinoshita Satoshi was so much better in the anime vs. the manga. Sure Toa got on my nerves (getting kidnapped every two seconds) and I loved the idea of Jin getting with Gio in the end vs. how it really happened. Then there was Jin's crazy ex best friend... but in the end the anime was still better. I didn't even read the whole manga it bored me so much. I started just looking at the pictures after a while...

Genre: Action, Drama, Romance, Sci-fi, Shounen

Summary: (manga)

Twenty years prior to the story's beginning, an asteroid headed for Earth destroys Pluto. Due to Pluto's destruction, the asteroid, which is dubbed Thanatos, becomes temporarily stagnant in Pluto's orbit. Now, in order to avoid Earth's impending destruction, the International Solarsystem Development Agency (ISDA) works on the "D-Project", and secretly creates weapons called "Dragons" after finding a dragon egg under the ocean. However, they soon find out that the asteroid is not their only threat, as powerful, destructive dragons from Thanatos appear on Earth.

As they delve deeper into the mysteries of the dragons, they encounter new friends and enemies, and also develop a closer relationship.

Nononono

Nononono by Okamoto Lynn is, first and foremost, on going (on mangafox.com). I was completely heartbroken when I came to the last chapter and that's how they left me (TT~TT). To put it simply, I'm sitting on the edge of my sit until the next update. This manga had highs and lows but all in all a great read. I can't really say much more or I'll ruin the story ;)

The art work was sometimes questionable to me: like how were her breast so big and no one noticed she was a girl?! I don't care how much binding she did those things should have still been seen lmao. But that's one of the perks of being in a cartoon I guess.

This manga is for mature readers only!

Genres: Drama, Ecchi, Gender Bender, Mature, Psychological, Romance, Seinen, Sports

Summary:

Nonomiya Yuuta, a Skii Jumper aiming for Olympic Gold, bursts onto stage with his exceptional skills. However, his biggest problem is that he is not really a "he"... This Yuuta is actually Nonomiya Yuuta's twin sister, Nonomiya Nono... And with Women's Skii Jump not being an Olympic catagory, hiding her true identity is the only way for her to achieve the dreams of her father and brother.

Dog Style

Dog Style by Montoni Mondoru was an awesome manga. I think this was one of the first Yaoi mangas I've ever read and is still one of my favorties. Although one of the male leads is a tiny bit more feminine you can still see that, yes, they are both men. XD Now I want to reread it again~

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Mature, School life, Yaoi

Summary:

An entertaining romp from Modoru who has once again veered away from her dark side and visited the side of her humorous stories. Of course it's still rather twisted. A couple of high school delinquents discover that despite being from opposing sides, they have no objection to a bit of a sheet tumble with one another. Doggie-style refers more to how one of them is referred to as a dog by the other. Neither of these guys is an innocent, and it will be interesting to see where it goes.

by Yasha

The series was named after the doujinshi "Dog Style" (Slam Dunk) Modoru wrote in 1994

Miki Terayama saved Teru from getting roughed up by some punks. They're both in love with other guys... but one thing leads to another, and they're fooling around. Teru acts like a stray dog that hasn't been fed in ten days. He consumes Miki's love quick and rough and that can be quite a pain in the butt

Gorgeous Charat

Gorgeous Charat By Higuri Yuu sounds like a good read. I haven't read a manga in a while (thus I haven't updated, SORRY!)

It has good reviews and the summary sounds fun, not to mention it is Shounen Ai (which is usually light boy/boy romance for readers who are unaware. Though sometimes heavy romance can sneak up so keep your mind open lol). I'll let you know how I feel completely after I am done. I found it on Mangafox, by the way.

Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Mystery, Shounen Ai

Summary:

Meet Florian, the only son of an impoverished noble family who ends up indebted to the stunning, mysterious Ray Balzac Courland. He may have been sold to repay a family debt, but you can count on the fact that Ray is going to get a whole lot more than he bargained for!

Welcome to fin du siecle Paris, where ball gowns swirl, laughter rings through marble hallways, and jewels sparkle—both at the throats of the elite of the city, and in the amethyst eyes of one particular young man. A sequel to this "GORGEOUS CHARAT: LA ESPERANZA" can be found right here on MangaFox!

This story is a time travel of sorts (which I love time travel stories~) and has an ending I never thought would happen! I don't want to give too much away but it's so hard to hold it in TT~TT The Art was great too~  I need to look more into this author ASAP~!

The Bride of the Water God

The Bride of the Water God by Yun Mi-kyung is a twisting story line with beautiful art work. I was drawn in with the first page I saw (T-T) In a way, this manhwa (or manga in South Korea) actually remembered me of Inuyasha (Another Manga I will post in the future). This manga is a must have for your manga collection~
I found it on AnimeA.net

Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Romance, Shoujo, and Supernatural

Summary:

Wolf Guy - Emblem of the Wolf

Wolf Guy- Emblem of the wolf (Wolf guy - Ookami no Monshou) by Tabata Yoshiaki and drawn by Yugo Yuuki (same mangaka team as Akumetsu ^--^)  had me holding my breath from the very beginning. I love the main character, Akira Inugami, and my heart strings diffidently pulled for him; his life is so hard :'(
The drawing style grew on me but I still think the students look absolutely nothing like Junior high schoolers should...

You can read this manga on a number of the sites I have listed on the side but I have seen it in bookstores so buy a copy for your manga collection~

Akumetsu

Akumetsu by Tabata  Yoshiaki and drawn by Yogo Yuuki was a great story! One of my favorite mangas of all times but, sadly, the ending left me feeling a little disappointed -_-  If I say anymore it will completely give it away so you will just have to read to find out ^--^  Although I will say that there is a lot of blood and gore in this manga that may be too much for some readers.

Genres include: Action, Comedy, Drama, Mature, Psychological, Sci-fi, Shounen, and Tragedy.

Summary:
Nagasawa Shiina is just an average 3rd year high school student until her parents' company goes bankrupt. In order to pay the bills, her family sells her into prostitution. At her first job, a mysterious masked man crashes the party... and it's someone she knows. Akumetsu is the story of Hazama Shou, who defends his own view of justice in a vigilante manner while wearing a mask and calling himself Akumetsu.

This manga can be found on some of the manga sites I have listed on the side but this is a good manga to have in your library so buy a copy~

Boku No Hatsukoi wo Kimi Ni Sasagu

Boku No Hatsukoi wo Kimi Ni Sasagu (I give my first love to you) by Aoki Kotomi is a touching love story that had me crying like a baby one moment and laughing the next. This story hit a little close to home, being sickly myself, and had me hoping for the lead character (Takuma) to pull though. At times it can seem a little on the dark side too.

Genres include: Drama, Romance, School life, Shoujo, and Tragedy.

Summary:
(from Tenshi-Tachi) Takuma and Mayu's story began when they were only 8 years old. During his childhood, Takuma was constantly hospitalised due to his heart condition. He soon became friends with Mayu, the daughter of the doctor in charge of his case. Day by day they grew closer and closer. However, the summer when Takuma was 8, he made a promise to Mayu that he couldn't keep... Their story unfolds as they grow older and their bond gets stronger...

I've heard this manga was made into a movie but its not an anime. I haven't seen it yet myself but if you have please let me know how it was compared to the movie.

You can read this manga on a number of sites ( I have some listed on the side of my blog).  Please buy a copy for your manga collection ^--^

Naruto / Bleach

Of course I couldn't have a blog like this and not have Naruto or Bleach on it. Two of the most popular mangas out right now, and for good reason. They both have animes, however, I prefer the mangas. Both are on almost all of the manga sites online though I will list below a few.

These mangas are sold in almost every bookstore so there is no excuse not to buy it and available online to purchase as well.

Genres- Action, Adventure, comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Shounen, Supernatural

Anatolia Story

Anatolia Story (Red River) by Shinohara Chie is an older manga but that doesn't mean anything at all. Its great plot and character building will really pull you in. Genres are Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Mature, Romance, Shoujo, and Supernatural.

I'll just say flat out that I'm a sucker for time travel stories, whether good or bad I will read them to see where they are going. I didn't have to worry with this one; this manga was great!

Summary:
Yuri lived the peaceful, average teenage life until Queen Nakia drew Yuri across time and space into the ancient Hittite Empire to use her as a sacrifice! Yuri meets many different friends throughout her journey to find a way home, but when the season of the North Star comes, enabling Prince Kail to send Yuri home, can she make it back, or have her growing feelings for Kail become too much? Check out Anatolia Story to find out!

On a sad note, this manga has been uploaded and removed from almost all the manga sites I do look at before buying the book. But I see it is on Manga2U.com and Mangareader.net; for how long, who knows...
However, as always, I recommend this for your manga collection. I have seen it in many bookstores and on Amazon.com.

Kinyo Sou

Kingyo Sou (Silent Love Song) by Fujitsuka Yuki is by far my number one Shoujo manga. I can't get enough of this manga and reread it often. Its genres are Drama, Romance, School Life, Shoujo. When I found this manga I was looking for a different story because it felt like every shoujo manga was getting to be the same plot. This story definitely different.

However, Masami is deaf, and in his own soundless world, he has closed his heart. With this, their miraculous but painful love quietly begins.

You can read this manga on Mangafox.com, though I recommend buying it because your going to want to reread it over and over again :]

Immortal Rain

Immortal Rain by Ozaki Kaori was a mixture of emotions for me (in a great way). It's genres are Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi, Shoujo, Supernatural, and Tragedy. This manga had me laughing, crying, sitting on the edge of my sit and everything in between! A site will be listed below.

Switch

Switch by Naked Ape was one manga that really had me excited. I couldn't get enough of it! It's genres are action, comedy, drama, mature, mystery, and psychological. But Ryugen, the syndicate trafficking the drug, is almost impossible to infiltrate. This manga was made into a short anime consisting of two OVAs, I believe you can watch these on Youtube.com.

Crimson Spell

Crimson spell by Yamane Ayano is definitely one of my favorite yaoi mangas. It's genres are comedy, romance, supernatural, and of course yaoi love (which might be a little too much for some readers). But thankfully I found it a couple months later on another site which will be listed below.

He leaves his kingdom to find a cure, and his search leads him to Hallwil, the person rumored to be the only one who knows how to break the curse. Hallwil agrees to help Val... for a price.
